UC Davis Extension is offering the Early Start Denver Model Introductory Workshop online.

Learn about the theoretical and empirical framework, curriculum and teaching principles of the Early Start Denver Model, a developmental, behavioral and relationship-based intervention program for infants and toddlers with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages 12-60 months. This course is taught by Sally Rogers of the UC Davis MIND Institute and Geraldine Dawson from Duke University. Dr. Dawson is a Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Pediatrics, and Psychology and Neuroscience and Director of the Duke Center for Autism and Brain Development at Duke University, North Carolina. Dawson is President of the International Society for Autism Research.  Enroll today!

​The Advanced Workshop involves 3 days of experiential learning. It is available by application only to professionals meeting the prerequisites, and who have read the manual and completed the Introductory Workshop. It is the next step in working toward certification as an ESDM therapist, but will not, by itself, provide certification. The Advanced Workshop includes interactive sessions with children with ASD during which professionals practice, in groups of 3-5 providers, implementing the full model with live supervision.
